ESCWA Brand Guidelines

These rules ensure that the brand maintains its coherence and consistency and does not fade over time.

Templates

ESCWA branded templates should be used for all external communication. If a template is not available for your purpose, contact CSS for guidance.

ESCWA branded templates should be used for internal communication to the greatest extent possible.

Templates give a consistent professional presentation of ESCWA materials, which increases the recognizability of ESCWA. Over the long-term, this can increase ESCWA's impact.

To ensure all persons can read the documents (and they don't come up as symbols/junk) use the fonts already in the "styles" of the templates or:

  • Arial for Arabic
  • Times New Roman for English

You may want to save these as “Templates” in MS Word. Saving a document as a template ensures that every time you open it you open a new instance of the document, meaning you are not typing over work that you have done before.

To save these as actual templates on your computer, so that when you go to File>New you can select the template from the My Templates tab:

  • Download and open the template
  • Go File>Save As
  • Give the document a name
  • Change the document type to Word template
  • Change where the documents are saved to the Templates folder of MS Word
  • Then to begin work, go to File>New and select the template from the My Templates tab
